Laddie S. Waldrop of Gardendale, AL passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2014 at the age of 77. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Laddie worked for EBSCO Industries for over 35 years and was a member of the East Gardendale Baptist Church. He served as a deacon, teacher and church greeter during that time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newton and Louise Waldrop; and a brother, Rudy Waldrop. Laddie is survived by his loving family, his wife of 54 years, Linda Waldrop; his daughters, Belinda Holloway (Danny) and Kim Maze (Gil); a sister, Peggy Miles; and his grandchildren, Joey Holloway (Rachel), Tonya Kennedy (Chad), and Tabitha Maze; great grandchildren, Ava Holloway, Lexi Holloway, and Kaylin Kennedy.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 23rd at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel beginning at 1:30 with chapel funeral services to follow at 3:30 PM. Interment will be in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. Rev. Allen Davis and Rev. Wayne Hawkins will officiate services.
