Lessie M. Lang of Mount Olive, AL passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2015 at the age of 88. Lessie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. She attended Beechwood Baptist Church in Mt. Olive. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Herbert Jackson Lang and a daughter, Carol Lang; and her brother, James A. “Buddy” Wilson. She is survived by her loving family, her sons, Herbie N. Lang (Tammy) and Charles A. Lang of Mt. Olive; her daughters, Susan Colburn (Todd) of Mt. Olive, Patti Cox (Steve) of Pinson, and Julie Mangina (Burke Ragsdale) of Akron, AL; a sister, Annie Mae Kelling; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and many special friends.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel at 2 PM with a visitation from 12 noon until service time. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Rev. James Kelling will officiate services.
