Lou Vennia is survived by her Daughters - Pam Marsh (Ken), Rita Darden (Tim), Joyce Hollis (James); Grandchildren - Jeff Marsh, Rachel Rushing (Bryan), Matthew Hood, Jason Marsh, William Hood (Donna); Great Grandchildren: Jordan Marsh (Kiearsten), Jonathan Marsh (Madison), Alec Marsh, Abigal Smith (Josh), Hunter Matthew Hood, Tanner Hood, Haleigh Hood, Conner Rushing, Aiden Rushing, Hunter Thomas Hood, Fisher Hood; Great Great Grandchildren: Troy Marsh, Ciaden Marsh, Jordyn Marsh, James Marsh; Sister-in-law: Joyce Hollis (James)
Lou Vennia was born to Jim and Versie Hollis on December 21st 1925 and raised in St. Claire County. She married Harley William Russell on October 13, 1943. Harley and his Dad, Elijah Russell, built a house for them in Fultondale where they resided for the duration of their lives together. They were loyal and dedicated members for 69 years of North Birmingham Freewill Baptist Church which later became Fultondale Freewill Baptist Church. She was a loving wife of 78 years and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother.
Chapel visitation will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel on Saturday August 28th, 2021 from 2:00 to 3:00 with a graveside service following at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
