Lucille Edith Heptinstall

April 2, 1924 – October 24, 2014

Please join our family in celebrating the life of Lucille and not grieving her death. She gave her heart and life to Jesus Christ around the age of nine, so her loved ones are confident of the fact that she is in heaven. Her life and legacy of loving family, friends and church will live beyond the 90.5 years of her earthly journey.

She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Paschal Price Heptinstall, son Paschal, Jr., grandson James Price McKinney, parents Alex and Ophelia McAlpine, her in-laws, Arthur and Hattie Heptinstall, brothers, Alvin, Jack, Glenn, Johnny McAlpine, sisters, Ruth Dempsey, Dessie Allred, Pearl Patterson, and Dicey Heptinstall.

She is survived by her children, Norma and John Huguley, Larry Heptinstall, Grandchildren, Michael Scott McKinney, Dana Green McKinney, Lindsey Heptinstall Harrison, Shannon Heptinstall and John Blake Huguley, and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Michael John McKinney, Drew and Jada Harrison, and brothers, Herbert and Edward (Annie Ruth) McAlpine and sister Betty (James) Minor, and a host of nieces and nephews.

Lucille and Pat had a child care in their home for 16 years, so there are many more children and adults she loved and thought of as family.

Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Monday, Oct 27, 2014 with a visitation beginning at 11:00am and a funeral at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
