Marcus Randall “Randy” Thomas of Gardendale, AL passed away on Wednesday, October 21st, 2015 at the age of 69. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Randy and his brother owned and operated Mt. Olive Chevron for several years. He served his country proudly as a veteran of the US Army and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and drag racing. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Christine Thomas; two brothers, Harold Thomas and Tommy Thomas. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Geraldine Thomas; his daughters, Kristy Spann (Danny) and Misty Traffica (Frankie); grandchildren, Kylie McDonald, MacKenzie Wiggin, Sam Traffica, and Brooklyn Spann; nieces, Stacy Greer and Jeannene Griesbach; nephew, Timmy Thomas; and many friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday evening, October 23rd, from 5 until 8 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with graveside services to follow on Saturday beginning at 11 AM in Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
