Marigwen Day Rogers, age 77 of Gardendale, AL went home to heaven on Tuesday, March 8, 2016. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. Marigwen lived in Gardendale most of her life and was a member of Gardendale’s First Baptist Church. She enjoyed more than anything spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, Curtis George Day and her mother, Bobbie Lee Day. She is survived by her 4 children, Carol Rogers Baty (Johnny), Marilee Rogers Calvert (Greg), Holly Rogers Calvert (Jerry), and Oscar Holland Rogers, III (Denise); her 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, March 9th at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel from 6 until 8 PM followed by graveside services Friday at 11 AM in Arkadelphia Cemetery.
