

Marjorie V. Erwin Jones, Loving Mother and Grandmother, born in Bessemer, AL. on December 27, 1928 passed away July 4, 2018 peacefully at her home. She was preceded in death by her Husband Carl D. Jones, her Father Paul Erwin, her Mother Juanita Lewis Erwin Hodge, and Brother Robert Erwin.
She is survived by her Son Paul D. Jones and wife Jo Ann, Sister Joyce Erwin Woods, Grandchildren Corey Jones, Jamie Jones, Ryan Jones and wife Ryan Rane, and nieces and nephews.
Marjorie lived in Panama City, Washington, D.C., Topeka, Kansas, and eventually moved back to Powderly in 1964 and then to Warrior, Al. She was a member of the Eastern Star in Topeka Kansas. She worked at Lovemans for 15 years, Pizitz for 7 years, and retired from McRaes in 1993. She was a lifetime member of W.S.C.S. and member of Brookhaven Methodist Church since 1964. She was a member of Warrior Methodist Church since 1972. For many years, she taught Sunday School, was Church Treasurer in the 1980’s, and sang in the Choir.

Services will held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, July 7, 2018 with a Celebration of Life Reception beginning at 12:30pm; funeral service at 2:00pm, followed by her burial in Elmwood Cemetery, Birmingham, AL.
