Martha "Marty" Gilliland Perry

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Blanche Gilliland, husband, William "Doc" Perry and brothers Frank and Charles (Elaine) Tischer.

She is survived by her partner, Danny McCrary, her "babies" Precious and Honey. In addition to lots of loving family and friends.

She was a devoted long time member and Head Usher of Mount Vernon United Methodist Church in Gardendale and an owner of Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Birmingham. Her loves and passions were riding her horses, ballroom dancing, playing bridge and hanging out at the lake with her family and "babies".

A visitation for Marty will be held Friday, December 6, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel in the Fireside Parlor, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 3:30 PM at Moncrief Cemetery, 2055 Moncrief Rd, Gardendale, AL 35071.

In lieu of floral remembrances, the family ask donations be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society (gbhs.org) which was big in Martha's heart.
