Mary grew up in Morris, Alabama and she graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School. She worked hard for the United States Postal Service and she was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Mary Frances Burns. She is survived by her two children, Melanie Hayes Roberts and her husband Tim and Malin Hayes and his wife Kim; one brother, Larry Burns; five grandchildren, Noah Roberts, Gabriel Roberts, Malin Hayes, Jr., Hudson Hayes, and Adelyn Hayes; nephews, Barry Burns and Andrew Burns; niece, Angela Gaskins, and a host of friends.
A visitation for Mary will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM.
Mary will be laid to rest in Morris City Cemetery, Stouts Road, Morris, AL following the service.
