She was a successful business owner of 3 restaurants and 2 hardware stores, a pharmacy tech, and also enjoyed gardening.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Deese, Stephen (Starla) Deese, and Larry (Debbie) Deese; 3 grandchildren, Justin Deese, Joe Deese, and Jeremy Richardson; and 5 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents Nina Belle Slate Owens and Charles Oliver Owens Sr. and siblings, Barbara Jean Johnson, Nancy Jean Richardson, Sarepta "Pepie" Bula King, Haidee Unity Downs, Charles Oliver Owens Jr., Lanka Bass Butler, and Joe B Ownens.
