I was so sorry to hear about your mother's passing. I only knew Suzanne through her marriage to my first cousin, Jack, and always enjoyed being with them at our family reunions.

 I am so sorry to hear about your mother passing. This is Celia Freeman Johnson, your Dad's first cousin. I had tried calling your mom in February. My husband died on February 19th and I wanted to tell her. She was always so fond of him and enjoyed talking to him at the Freeman Cousins reunion. Your aunt answered and told me she was in the hospital..Your mom was so sweet and we always exchanged Christmas cards. My mother, Aunt Wilma, had been so concerned and tried calling and the phone was disconnected and we talked occasionally. I am so sad. We love you. I loved your dad. He was on of my avorite cousins. I will always picture Suzanne playing the organ @ Smokerise Baptist.  It brings back a lot of memories.

I was very sorry to hear of Suzanne's passing.
I went through Central Park and West End HS with here and new her as a very kind and sweet person.
She will be missed.

Family - When our Sunday School class was deciding upon a name, someone suggested 'Encouragers'- Suzanne handed me a piece of paper the next Sunday and on it was 1 Thess 5:11- "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." Suzanne was an  encourager. I couldn't begin to count the times she's encouraged me as her SS teacher. She was a gracious lady in the way she dressed,and in her conversation and speech. Honestly I never heard her say a negative thing about anyone. Even in death she encouraged us....when our SS class went and prayed with her she told us, "this is a part of life."  Bro Sid said it well at her services, she had a heavenly perspective. Be encouraged if you know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior - we will see Suzanne again.

She and I attended West End High School.

Today we said goodbye to a dear precious daughter of the King. Suzanne, you were always the kindest person, soft spoken but saying just the right thing. I count it a blessing to have been your friend and will miss that quiet smile and beautiful red hair..Now you are with Jack and your loved ones and I know you are resting with Jesus.

Brooke, I want you to know that I have never known a more consistantly faithful believer in Christ Jesus. She was and continues to be a great inspiration to me and many others, I'm sure. It was an honor to be counted among her friends.
