Matthew Stephen Kinard, age 32 of Gardendale was born September 8, 1983 and passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015. Matt was a member of Gardendale's First Baptist Church, a graduate of Gardendale High School, and attended University of South Alabama and UAB. He was an avid University of Tennessee Vols fan and loved working with animals. He was a wonderful son, brother, grandson, and uncle who was very much loved and will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Helen Welshans. He is survived by his mother, Cindy Mann and her husband Steven; and his father, Stephen Kinard; his sister, Jenney McAnnally and her husband Greg; brothers, Matthew Mann and Daniel Mann; nephews, Dylan and Jackson McAnnally; grandmother, Dean Kinard; grandmother, Martha Mann and grandfather, Tommy Mann; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Chapel services will be held on Wednesday, October 7th at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations please be made to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society or to a charity of your choice in Matt’s memory.
