Michael Anthony Watson Jr.

Michael Anthony Watson Jr., born on May 11, 1987, gained his wings on December 5, 2025, at the age of 38. Known for being adventurous, beloved, cherished, and gentle, Michael was a resident of Warrior, Alabama.

Michael was born in Groten, Connecticut, and throughout his life, he developed a deep love for animals, enjoyed being a couch potato gaming, and had a passion for the mountains and the outdoors.

Michael is survived by his husband, Drew Levan; his parents, Michael and Gloria Watson; his sister, Brandy Zamora (Watson); his adopted sister, Amber Allen; his aunts and uncles, Dale and Paula Roberson of Cross, South Carolina; Ernie Clark of Monks Corner, South Carolina; Jimmy and Tracy Watson of Alexander City, Alabama; and Aunt Sue Zaretki Burns of Las Vegas, Nevada. He is also remembered fondly by many cousins and his beloved fur babies, Story and Mela.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents, Raiford L. and Gwendolyn F. Roberts, and Bert R. and B. Ellen Clark.

A visitation will be held in the Fireside Room at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, located at 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL, on Monday, December 8, 2025, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place at The Olive Grove Congregational Methodist Church, located at 3001 Mt Olive Rd, Mount Olive, AL 35117, beginning at 3:30 pm.
