Michael Wayne West, age 62 of Mt. Olive, AL passed away on Thursday, July 24, 2014. Michael was a lifelong resident of the Gardendale area and was an avid Alabama football and NASCAR fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, T.A. West and Nell West. He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 24 years, Cheryl West; a son, Jeremy West; his daughters, Amanda McCreless and Nora Stewart; grandchild, Hunter West; and a host of nieces.
A memorial service is planned for Sunday, July 27th at 3 PM at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service. The family requests that friends and family wear jeans and Alabama Roll Tide shirts to the service.
