Nelle W. Terry

Nelle Catherine Wright Terry, age 89, born on April 2, 1923, and passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2013, just 10 days short of her 90th birthday. She was employed at Reynolds Drugs in Homewood for more than 20 years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister; and will be missed by all.

Mrs. Terry was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Mack Terry; parents, John Henry Wright and Alda Kerr Wright; sister, Myrtle Sue Wright; brothers, William Kerr Wright and Willard Haynes Wright; and niece Judy Walker Juliano.

She is survived by her son, Edward Mack Terry II (Betty Howton) of Tuscaloosa, and her daughters, Mary Terry Taft (David) of Sumiton, Suzanne Terry Tibbs (Walter) of Fultondale, Betty Terry of Hoover, Nancy Terry Shannon (John) of Decatur, and Marjorie Terry of Raleigh, North Carolina; ten grandchildren, Carissa Taft Cagle, Jennifer Tibbs Kelly (Jamie), Lauren Terry, Gregory Tibbs (Krystal), Josh Taft (Kyla), Leslie Terry, Meghan Shannon Siegrist (Mark), William Shannon, Haleigh Tibbs, and Sara Taft; and 11 great-grandchildren, Melanie, Ashleigh, Austin, and Bryson Cagle; Jackson and Beckett Kelly; Jacob, Makayla, and Lucy Nelle Tibbs; and Jaiden and Ryleigh Taft; sister, Wilma Wright Walker and niece Bobbie Walker Springer of Mobile; sister-in-law, Theo Storey Wright, and niece, Sheila Wright Sheldon, of Clermont, Florida; niece, Ann McKee Whatley of Opelika, and nephew Edward C. Hixon of Houston, Texas.

Visitation will be at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, with services to follow. Burial will be on Wednesday, March 27, at Plantersville United Methodist Church, Plantersville, Alabama.
