Fields, Norman Dale age 81 of Hayden, AL passed away on October 13, 2016. Mr. Fields retired from U.S. Pipe after 42 years of service and is a longtime member and deacon of Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin and Ethel Fields; three brothers, Frank, Johnnie and Douglas Fields; and two sisters, Hazel York and Eleanor McClendon. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Betty Jean Fields; son, Darrell Fields (Linda); Deborah Fields McCracken (Jerry); five grandchildren, Alisha Moore (David), Darrick Fields (Brandy), Gerald McCracken (Peggy), Amber McCracken (Andy) and Lakota McCracken; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Stacks and Carolyn Calvert (Terry); and a host of other family and friends. A Chapel service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday October 15, 2016 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time prior to the service. Dr. Sammie Reid and Bro.
