Patricia Gail Mitchell Howell

It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of ‘Patricia’ Gail Mitchell Howell, who left this world on January 23, 2025, at the age of 81 to be with her Heavenly Father. She loved her God and was a member of the Church of Christ. Patricia was born on July 23, 1943, in Birmingham, AL. Patricia was a long-time resident of Pace (Pensacola), FL, where she co-founded Gulf Ice Systems, Inc. with her husband, Bruce, in 1985; and has served as CEO since 2000. Patricia will be forever remembered for her hard work, dedication, compassion, thoughtfulness and the gift of giving and doing for others.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, William ‘Bruce’ Howell; parents, James W. and Earleen B. Mitchell; brother, Stephen Mitchell; sister, Judith Hall; granddaughter, Meghan Peeler and great granddaughter, Hallie Etheridge.

She is survived by her son, William ‘Mark’ Howell (Sheila); daughter, ‘Tonya’ Gail Peeler; grandchildren, Tyler Howell (Emilee), Brooke Etheridge (Nick), Ethan Peeler and Kaelyn Peeler; great grandchildren, Emersyn Grace Howell and Ella Rose Etheridge; niece, Cyndi Reaves and nephew, Gregg Hall.

Our deepest gratitude goes out to Kenny Driver, Karin Muzyka, Rhadika Shanigaram and Cathy Rayburn for all their support in helping take great care of our mom. She loved them all.

Her memory will be forever cherished by her family and those who knew and loved her. She was the best mom ever and will be sorely missed.
