Richard O'Neal Roberson

March 28, 1954 - January 20, 2025

Richard “Ricky” Roberson, age 70, of Clanton, Alabama went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 20, 2025.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Edward O’Neal Roberson and Mavis Roberson.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Amelia Roberson; daughter Kimberly Tyler; brother Russell Roberson; niece and nephews and beloved dog Max.

Richard is also survived by his loving neighbors and friends; Lisa, Makayla, James, Barry and Jennifer.

Richard was a United States Marine Corps veteran. He worked for BF Goodrich before going on to become a correctional officer at the City of Birmingham, retiring in 2016.

His favorite hobbies were model trains, drawing, playing the organ, singing and camping. Richard growing up was a member of his church choir attending several choir competitions.

Richard will be remembered as a loving husband, father, big brother and devoted friend.

Services for Richard will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, Alabama on Saturday, January 25, 2025 with a time of visitation from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 2:15 PM at Oakwood Memorial Gardens, 2100 Moncrief Rd, Gardendale, Alabama.
