Ricky graduated from Mortimer Jordan High School, he retired from the Jefferson County Roads and Transportation Department, he was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed fishing.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence "Jack" Copeland.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Jewel Copeland and one brother, Roger Copeland; several other family members and many friends.
Celebration of life services for Ricky will be held Friday, May 3, 2019 at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071 with a time of visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM; funeral service at 11:00 AM, followed by his burial in Marvin’s Chapel Cemetery, 4507 Bud Holmes Road, Pinson, Alabama 35126-3224.
