Robert (Bob) Rhodes of Fultondale passed away, March 30, 2016. His birthday was December 14, 1935. He was born in Tupelo, Mississippi and raised in Kosciusko, Mississippi. He came to Birmingham, Alabama in the late fifties. He is preceded in death by his son, Ricky Rhodes, stepson, John C. Kruse, stepdaughter, Kim Kruse Woods. Four brothers and one sister. He leaves behind his wife of 41 years Marlene Kruse Rhodes, son, Shane Rhodes (Tiffany), stepson Jeff Kruse (Melissa). Two brothers Bud and Jack Rhodes of Mississippi. Four grandchildren, Christy Kruse McNew, Jacob Woods, Kayla Woods and Savanah Rhodes. Two great grandchildren, Gracie McNew and Kaydence Woods. He’s very much loved, Husband, Dad and Paw Paw to all of us. He will be missed deeply.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Saturday, April 2, 2016 with a visitation to begin at 2:00pm followed by a funeral service at 3:00pm with Pastor Frankie Woods presiding. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the cancer society.
