Ross Joe Verciglio, age 86 of Pinson passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2011. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, veteran of World War II and worked in the retail grocery business until his retirement. His parents, Josephine and Joe Verciglio; brothers: Pete (Pauline), Charlie Giarizzo, Norman (Kitty) and John (Jean) Verciglio; sisters: Pauline (Horace) Burchfield and Mary (Raymond) Maze preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Mary Ann Verciglio; son, Joseph (Marilyn) Verciglio; daughter, Josephine (Steve) Allison; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church with burial in Jefferson Memorial Gardens in Trussville. The family will receive friends Friday from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. followed by a Rosary at the funeral home.
