Sarah Joan Robertson

Joan was a wife, mother, and grandmother. Her two great passions were her faith and her family. She lived as a Christian who always demonstrated the values of a life devoted to God. For Joan, her family was her greatest success and her greatest reward. Her last words were used to tell her family, “I love you.” After a long battle with cancer, Joan entered eternity on August 27, 2019. She was at home surrounded by family, and she passed away peacefully while sleeping. Survivors include her Mother Sarah Lee (Gurley) Richardson, her loving husband Harold Edward Robertson, her children Wendi Carol Capps and Steven Harold Robertson, her siblings Walter Gerald Richardson (Martha) and Harvey Danny Richardson (Debra). Grandchildren: John Wesley Capps, Jr.,David Mitchell Capps (Lori)

Julia Hope Capps, Steven Caleb Robertson ( Lindsay), Briana Hope Robertson, Emelia Winter Garrett, Eleanor Baker Garrett, Carson Blake Garrett , Ryan Cole Garrett

Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation on Friday, August 30, 2019, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel in Gardendale, AL. Following the visitation, there will be a private graveside service at Oakwood Memorial Gardens.
