Luckenbaugh, Sharon Adams, born on September 29, 1955 in Altoona AL, passed away on March 10, 2013 in Gardendale, AL at the age of 57. She earned a degree from UAB in Respiratory Therapy in the 80’s. She had a career at the VA Hospital doing what she loved and caring for others. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Floyd and Kathleen Adams. She is survived by her husband, David Luckenbaugh; daughter, Wendy Herring (Rob); step-daughter, Brittany Luckenbaugh: grandchildren, Robin Herring, Lindsey Whisenhunt (James), James Herring and Julie Herring; great-grandchildren, Bayleigh and Madeline Miller and Parker Whisenhunt. A visitation will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Thursday, 3/14 from 6pm until 8pm with a funeral service Friday at 12:00 noon. Services will be officiated by Rev. Brandon Harrelson. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Disabled American Veterans Foundation or a charity of your choice.
