Susan Kay Dollar

Susan Mathews Dollar, age 61 of Morris passed into her Savior’s arms on Friday, July 01, 2011. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and was a teacher with the Jefferson County School system. Susan was preceded in death by her father Charley Mathews and sister Charene Smith. Survivors include her husband, Johnny Dollar; sons: Matt Dollar, Mat Burkett (Amy) and Michael Burkett (Emily); daughter, Lani Dollar (Darrell); grandchildren: Charley, Jacob and Jaylen; mother, Irene Love. Her compassion and caring for others was surpassed by few. She lived most of her life to fulfill the needs of others, including her countless student's whose lives she positively influenced. Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel with burial in Oakwood Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of BMC Princeton Hospital for their loving care.
