“Aunt Burt”

Roberta Hicks James (Aunt Burt), age 101, of Mount Olive, AL, died Friday, Jan. 9, 2015. She was a charter member of the Evangel Assembly of God Church in Mt. Olive (formally known as Hicks Chapel).
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eley James, father, Rev. Robert W. Hicks and mother, Ellie Ree Hicks; brothers, Ernest Hicks, Emeory Hicks and Herschel Hicks. She was the last of the Hicks siblings and she had no children of her own, but she is survived by a large extended family that she loved as her own.
Visitation will be at the Ridout's Gardendale Chapel from 12:30 to 2PM with the funeral at 2. Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery in Birmingham, AL. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Lankford and Rev Brian Neugent (Great-Nephew) and music by, Chris Hicks (Great-Nephew).
