Vaudrey G James

Vaudrey was born in Huntsville, Alabama where she lived until she met the love of her life, Howard Clay James, moving to Birmingham, Alabama.

Vaudrey worked most of her career in the medical field, starting at Huntsville Hospital, then on to Neurological Associates in Huntsville. After moving to Birmingham, she worked for Ophthalmology Associates until retirement.

She was predeceased by her husband, Howard Clay James, parents, Roy George Gurley and Fannie Clark Gurley, siblings, Virginia Brazelton and Lloyd Gurley.

She is survived by her children, Carol Henshaw Mackey (Pete) of Mobile, AL, Diane Henshaw Langlois (Chris) of Shalimar, FL and Kaye Henshaw Hipp (Robert) of Hayden, AL, grandchildren, Sara Catherine Mackey (Mobile, AL), Timothy Russell Mackey (Philadelphia, PA), Haley Jones Waas (Dirk) Columbus, GA, Mitchell Ryan Siegel (Courtney) of Atlanta, GA, Garrett Samuel Siegel of Orlando, FL, great grandchildren, Blakely Waas and Bennett Siegel.

Services will be Saturday, February 22 with visitation at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel, Gardendale, AL with graveside services at 2:30 pm in Oakwood Memorial Gardens, Gardendale, AL. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Alzheimer's Association or the charity of your choice.
