

Vernon was preceded in death by his Beloved wife of 62 years, Lola Hedrick, and his son, Kenneth Michael Hedrick. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Hedrick Brown, daughter-in-law Linda Hedrick, and his cherished grandchildren, Joshua Alan Brown (Emily), Jarrod Michael Brown (Amanda), and Christina Hedrick. He was also deeply loved by his great-grandchildren, Jacqueline, Sierra, Olivia, Owen, Sophie, and another expected great-granddaughter who will carry on his memory.
A proud family man, Vernon was known for his unwavering love, kindness, and dedication to those he held dear. He was a devout Christian who lived a life committed to service, honor, and brotherhood as a U.S. Navy veteran and Freemason. He especially enjoyed spending time with his great-grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will forever that they will forever hold dear.
A service will be held in honor of Vernon's life will be held on Friday May 16, 2025 at Hope Community Church. Visitation 10-11 AM with Service at 11:00.
He will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
