Virginia Joyce Martin, age 89, of Mt. Olive, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 10, 1931. She was the widow of Rayford Martin and is survived by two daughters, Gloria Martin Banes and Rhonda Ward; five grandchildren, Leslie Banes (Jay) Campbell, Lori Banes, Jeff Hannah (Jeannine), Sonya Newland and Angela (David) Cantu; and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on August 10 at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel beginning at 12pm with funeral services to follow at 2 pm. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery. The Rev. Clint Moon will officiate services.
