

Wanda Sue Melvin, a cherished mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. Born to Betty Sue Chambers and Marlon Edward Chambers, Wanda was a beacon of love and kindness throughout her life. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Clifford Mcwane Melvin and her parents Betty Sue Chambers and Marlon Edward Chambers whose memory she held dear. Wanda's life was filled with the love of her family. She is survived by her daughter, Heather Melvin, and her husband, Chris Daniel; her son, Marlin (Marty) Melvin; and her son, Michael (Mike) Freeman, and his wife, Kimberly Freeman. Wanda was a devoted grandmother to Alyx Freeman, Rylyn Daniel, Chayce Daniel, and Myles Daniel and numerous nieces, nephews; and a host of friends who brought immense joy to her life. In addition to her children and grandchildren, Wanda is survived by her three brothers Kenny Chambers, Benny Chambers, Tony Chambers and three sisters Collette Funderburg, Jennifer Chambers, Shannon Chambers, who will forever remember her as a loving and supportive sibling. Her extended family and friends will always remember her for her generous spirit, her unwavering support, and her infectious laughter. Wanda's legacy is one of love, compassion, and dedication to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who loved her. A celebration of Wanda's life will be held to honor her memory and the wonderful impact she had on all who knew her.
