William “Ray” Rooker, age 85, of Warrior, Alabama passed away on Thursday January 18, 2018. Ray was born December 28, 1932 in Remlap, Alabama. Ray loved to fish, ride his motorcycle, collect clocks of any kind, and he gathered five dollar bills in which he would give out to almost everyone. Ray was very active in the Masons for almost 60 years. He was a master Mason and he was a Past Master Mason with the Locust Fork Lodge, #481. Ray loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them, he will be greatly missed.
Ray is survived by his children, four sons, William Michael Rooker (Margaret Ann, “Sissy”), Benny Ray Rooker, Ralph Isiah Rooker (Karen Lea), and Hoyett Dewayne Rooker; two daughters, Theresa Renee Johnson (Donnie Collins) and Paula Denice Brown; twelve grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren, and a host of friends and family.
Services will be held at Ridout’s Gardendale Chapel on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 with a celebration of his life to begin at 1:00pm followed by a memorial service at 2:00pm.
