

At an early age, Barbara professed Christ and joined the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Creedmoor, Tx. She later became a member at the New Zion Missionary Baptist Church, now The House of Intercession “THOI” under the leadership of Pastor Eric D. White, Sr
Barbara worked for BJ’s Records and a cleaning service for many years. Barbara Jo also worked for Hardin Security as a Sargeant. She also worked as a Home Health Aide, where she cared for the elderly for several years.
Barbara Jo was one of the original members of Humpin People Motorcycle Club. Barbara loved her motorcycle family with the same love she had for her biological family. Barbara loved to have fun. She loved to fish, dance and sing at the sound of any music. Barbara loved the Lord, and it showed in everything she did. Her only wish was that her health sustained her enough to make it to the House of the Lord every Sunday.
Barbara was preceded in death by her father, William Cavanaugh, Sr., Clara Harper, Brothers: Robert Ockletree, Lloyd Cavanaugh, Harry Harper, Jr. and one sister, Cheryl Smith.
She leaves to cherish her memory: sisters, Frances Cavanaugh, Michele Cavanaugh, Sherry Smith, Norval Harper, Crystal Harper and Sandra Harper. Brothers: Jesse B. Scott, Jr., William Cavanaugh, Jr., Zachary Cavanaugh and Gregory Cavanaugh. Stepfather, Harry C. Harper, Sr. Longtime Friend, Father and Stepfather to her children, Lester Tobias. Her children: Jesse L. Scott, Jr., Felicia Scott, Terrance Roberson (Denicia) and Darrius Roberson. Her Grandchildren: Jazzmine, Aundria, Valencia, Von’Zel, Chelsey, Kierra, Kianna, Terran, Kelsie, Terranae, Andrue, Terrance, Jr., Terranicia, Kee’Toya and Amari. Great Grandchildren: Jayden, Josiah, D’Calian, Ma’Siah, Emani, Charles, Jr., Simone, Cory, Jr., MaKayla, Tre and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
