Betty Lopez

Betty Lopez, born on August 1, 1942, in Georgetown, TX, left this world on March 19, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her three cherished children: Gilbert Lopez (Pat), Donna Hood, and Barbie Maldonado (Martin). Betty is also survived by her sisters, Lucia Burch and Rebecca Lopez, and her beloved dog, Pinky.

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Veronica Hood ( Ben), Lex Lopez (Chance), Shureem Lopez (Dan), Brandon Lopez (Buddy), Pauline Maldonado (Horacio), Marcus Maldonado, Alexa Garcia, Christian Barton, Richard Franco (JulieAnn) (Diane).Great- Grandchildren: Deion, Damien, Renee, Sonny, Suzzy, Jacob, Lexavier, Marisa, Isabelle, Zay, Kali. Along with many great -great-grandchildren. She was blessed to have a lot of special family and friends who were honored to know her.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Pauline and Louis Lopez; her siblings, Emma, Josie, Mercy, Louise, David, Daniel, and Paul; and her grandchild, Gabriel Lopez.

A true animal lover, Betty had a special fondness for Chihuahuas and embraced all creatures with care. She enjoyed meeting new people, making friends, and found joy in shopping and all the simple pleasures of life. 

A memorial service will be held at the Gabriel’s Funeral Home Chapel in Georgetown, TX, on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Betty's life and the love she shared with all. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by everyone who knew her.
