Bettye Wanda Brown

Bettye Wanda O’Toole Brown, 81, a native Texan passed away on Thursday, September 27, 2012. Bettye’s family will gather for graveside services on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 12:30PM at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband Neely R. Brown. Bettye was born April 11, 1931 in Fort Worth, Texas to the late Olies Franklin and Sarah Grace Ashcraft O’Toole. Bettye lived in Texas all her life. She grew up in Fort Worth, but also lived in Comanche, Texas, Austin, Corsicana and San Antonio. Although a licensed Realtor, and enjoyed her work in the industry, Bettye's true passion was her family. She studied genealogy and loved to track the roots of her family. With her genealogy work she also enjoyed traveling around the world. Bettye was active in the Republican Party, an avid gardener and loved to sew and quilt. Bettye is preceded in death by her parents Olies and Sarah O’Toole; and her husband, Neely R. Brown in 2004. Bettye is survived by her children, Sheri Carlton and her husband Joe, Tony Neel, Gary Neel and his wife Sue, Chris Neel, Bill Brown and his wife Jeaine, Rhetta Simmons and her husband Rodney, and Jeremy Brown and his wife Joanne; her brother Robert O'Toole and numerous grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
