Charles Edgar Kessel Sr., age 86, went home to be with the Lord Monday, January 12. He was born in Far Rockaway, New York, moved his family to California in 1964, and recently moved to Georgetown with his wife in 2004. Charles leaves behind his wife, Virginia, of 53 years; his daughter, Lynn; his son and daughter in law, Chuck and Candice; his two grandchildren, Charlie and Alex; and his sister, Juann. Charles, or Ed as some know him, held careers in engineering management and real estate. Two cherished hobbies of his included watercolor painting and fishing. Charles (Ed) may be known to many by the sparkle in his eye, the dimple in his cheek, or his dashing straw hat. He has touched many lives and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution in his memory to the Cancer Fund. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
