Christopher Daniels Hall has left us wanting more. More of his humor, more of his generosity, more of his love. He was a man of grace and humility. The world will be less without him.Chris was born November 2, 1937 in Los Angeles, CA at the old Wilshire Hospital. His parents, Helen Daniels and Samuel Hall, gave him a baby brother 2 years later – Tommy, now of Whittier, CA. More than 3 decades later, his father produced another brother and then a sister for Chris – Joly Hall and Kim Heide, both of Southern CA.Chris grew up in the Long Beach area, graduating from Woodrow Wilson High in 1955. First job - lifeguard for L.A. County. After joining the Air Force, he protected our country from the Klamath Indians in Klamath Falls, Oregon, driving bulldozers and garbage trucks. It was there he met and married Sharran, and they became the parents of Eric and Chris (Rob) of Healdsburg, Ca and Seattle, WA.Returning to SoCal, Chris worked for a sheet metal shop and McDonnell Douglas Aircraft. Saving his money, he eventually took time off from work and attended Cal State Fullerton, graduating in 1971.In 1985, Chris married Nancy Ford Bishop, first living on Balboa Island, CA - then Costa Mesa, CA - Cincinnati, OH - and finally the Austin, TX area. He was a loving and generous stepfather to Rhett and Dallas Bishop.Grandchildren Taylor and Samantha Hall of Los Angeles and Seattle, and Haley and Jackson Bishop of Austin, were loved fully.Kimberly Striker joined the family as Rob’s wife in 1992 and was treasured as a daughter.Chris left us on Thursday, December 26, 2019. He was at home with Nancy, accepting his fate with the same grace he had shown throughout his life. Always the champ.Waiting for him are his infamous Aunt Bea and his equally infamous sister-in-law, Susie. It’s happy hour at the palapa bar on the beach and Chris is picking up the tab. But no hangovers for him, he plans to work investigating black holes as his day job.The world is a little less today.
