George Weldon Wade

George Weldon Wade, 64, of Winnsboro, entered into rest on July 16, 2009. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2009 in Bagdad Cemetery in Leander. Honoring George as pallbearers will be Kevin Dedman, Michael Sparks, Mark Berry, Brandon Berry, Adam Conrad, and Wendell Rychlik. Serving as honorary pallbearers are Justin Gilmore & Timothy Rychlik.The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, 2009 in Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. George was born December 13, 1944 to Albert Thomas and Ida LaRue (Harris) Wade in Austin. He grew up in and around Cedar Park and Houston. He served his country during the Vietnam Conflict in the Army. Returning home to Cedar Park, George married Linda Kay Maynard on July 21, 1966. George loved to take family fishing along the Llano River. He enjoyed woodburning crafts, birds, especially eagles, and playing softball. George worked as a corrections officer with Williamson County CTTC. George is preceded in death by his parents and in 1970 by two infant sons; Robert Kevin and Roger Kendall. He leaves to cherish his memory a loving wife; Linda of Winnsboro, daughters; Tracy and husband Stacy Gilmore, Sherrie Davidson, grandchildren; Justin and Kaylen Gilmore, Makayla and Holley Davidson, brother; Albert Wade, and sister; Wavalea Dedman.
