

Jesse Mendez Vasquez, 76, loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on Sunday, July 26th. Jesse was born on March 20, 1944 in Jonah, Texas to Manuel and Socorro (Mendez) Vasquez.
Jesse retired from Georgetown Railroad in 2017.
Jesse enjoyed being around his children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, and his good friends Constancio and “Red”. He loved to travel with his family to go on cruises and to visit casinos. Jesse loved the Texas coast and fishing was his favorite hobby which he enjoyed with his family, and frequently with “Red”. He also enjoyed hunting, collecting coins, lottery scratch-offs, traveling to Mexico, and driving to Taylor for barbeque. Jesse always took the time to share his personal words of wisdom with his loved ones.
Jesse leaves to cherish in his memory his daughter Anjanette Vasquez of Round Rock; sons Jesse Vasquez and wife Cynthia of Georgetown, Gilbert Vasquez and wife Rebecca of Fort Worth, Miguel Vasquez and wife Jessica of Bryan, Stacy Adam Vasquez of College Station, and Christopher and wife Min Vasquez of Austin; sisters Virginia Mireles, Mary Ann and husband Manny Nunez; brothers Alfonso “Poncho” Vasquez, and Manuel Vasquez Jr.; 14 grandchildren, 4 great-greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, granddaughter Jade Vasquez, and brothers Domingo Vasquez, Ralph Vasquez, and John Vasquez.
Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle, Friend. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
