

Hillbilly, 54, of Jarrell passed on Sunday, September 30, 2012. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH 35, Georgetown, from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A service celebrating Hillbilly’s life will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2012 at 5:00PM at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel with Pastor John Warden. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 10:00AM at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo, Texas. Hillbilly was born as John Edd English, on November 25, 1957 to the late Frank and Edna English. He was a big man with a big heart. Hillbilly was the type of man that once you met him, you would never forget him. He was easy to spot from a great distance by his overalls and his ball cap, his everyday every occasion attire. Hillbilly was the owner and operator of “Hillbilly Trucking” for the last 26, years and was involved with road construction his entire adult life. He loved driving his dump truck and was proud of his accomplishments. Hillbilly enjoyed attending auctions, car shows, coin shows and kids sporting events. His deep passion was his family and all children. Hillbilly was a devoted father and grandfather, he loved watching the grandkids as they participated in their activities, he was there whatever and wherever the event was held. Hillbilly and his wife Brenda were members of New Hope Church. He loved going to church every Sunday that they weren’t chasing grandkids. He loved meeting in the Barn and of course he wore his overalls. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Edna English and his brother, Chuck English. Hillbilly leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Brenda English of Jarrell; his sons, Dewayne Huckaby and wife Tracy of Canyon, TX and Shea Huckaby and wife Catherine of Haslet, TX; his daughters, Brandy English of Amarillo, TX, Suzanne English of Amarillo, TX; his grandchildren, Jessica Castillo and her husband Jonathan of Amarillo, TX, Dallas Huckaby of Amarillo, TX, Darcie Huckaby of Haslet, TX, Cody Huckaby and his wife Kayla of Nashville, TN, Katelyn Huckaby of Canyon, TX, Bailey Huckaby of Canyon, TX, Connor Huckaby of Haslet, TX, Haley English of Amarillo, and Alexis English of Amarillo; his great grandchildren, Jacob Castillo and Elianna Huckaby; 3 sisters, Bobbi Fuegel and her husband John of Amarillo, TX, Alana Powell and her husband Randy of Lubbock, TX, and Deloris Patterson of Bluffton, SC; 1 brother, Brad English and his wife Mindy of Amarillo, TX; along with a host of other loving friends and extended family. Hillbilly will be truly missed, his big heart and big ways truly touch many lives and many strive to be just like him.
