John Ziminskas

John Eric Ziminskas, 36, passed away unexpectedly on July 26, 2023. He was born on October 13, 1986 in Houston Texas to Robert J and Patricia Kelley Ziminskas. He attended Hyde Park Elementary School, graduated from Georgetown Highschool and attended Texas State University.

John married Abby Everett on January 1, 2014 in Austin and later had two children, Clara and John. He was a born again Christian and his family was very important to him. He very much enjoyed family gatherings and holidays spent making memories with them. He had a servant’s heart and was always so compassionate. 

John was a pilot by trade and he loved to fly. He would often mention he had the best office ever, up in the clouds. He worked for Jet Linx aviation as a Gulfstream G-150 pilot. Throughout his years of flying, he achieved quite a few certifications and ratings, including Airline Transport Pilot, BE-350 Type Rating, G-150 Type Rating, CE-500 Type Rating, and he was also a Ground Instructor.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Robert J. Ziminskas, grandmother, Ima Kelley, grandfather, Ray Kelley. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Abby Ziminskas, children Clara and John Ziminskas. Mother, Trish Kelley Ziminskas. Brother Rob (wife Joy) Ziminskas, brother Randy (wife Heather) Allen, brother Ryan (wife Amanda) Ziminskas. He had many other dearly loved family members. He will be greatly missed by all those who loved him. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 4, 2023 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel beginning at 3:30 PM.
