Jorje Luis Vega

Jorje Luis Vega, (AKA Jorge, George, el Potrillo) age 33, tragically passed away on April 2, 2022 at Seton Medical Hospital surrounded by immediate family.  Jorje was born on June 14th 1988 in Georgetown, Texas and grew up in Round Rock where he thrived in school and touched so many hearts with his infectious personality and his love for skateboarding.  He was energetic, full of vision and enjoyed the company of his family and friends.  Jorje attended Bluebonnet Elementary, Chisholm Trail & C.D. Fulkes Middle School and graduated from Stony Point High School with the class of 06’.  Four years after his graduation, Jorje met his wife, Selena, and gave birth to a beautiful family.  Jorje loved having deep conversations about space and his theories about life with those close to him.  Jorje always believed in the power of music to communicate with those he loved.  The songs he chose were a significant symbol of his character and events in his life.  He strived and took pride in the family & friend reunions he put together.  Jorje loved being around people.  He was a joy to be around.  His fun, humble and down to earth personality will be missed by many. 

A son, brother, friend, husband and father like you are rare, one that’s so smart and humble.  A person like you is what everyone needs, full of smiles, laughter and wonder.  Nothing can replace a person like you. You will forever be in our hearts.  God has called you home.

Yo te extrañaré.  Tenlo por seguro.  Fueron tantos bellos y malos momentos que vivimos juntos.  Los detalles, las pequeñas cosas, lo que no parecía importante, son las que mas invaden mi mente al recordarte.  Ojalá pudiera devolver el tiempo para verte de nuevo.  Para darte un abrazo y nunca soltarte.  Mas comprendo que llego tu tiempo y que Dios te ha llamado para esta a su lado.  Así él lo quiso, pero nunca pensé que doliera tanto. 

Jorje is survived by his wife Selena and his six children, Audin, Jorge, Ezra, Jayce, Elliana and Jesse and his immediate family, parents Eleazar and Magdalena and siblings, Lorena, Eleazar Jr, Carlos, Alejandro and Lupita. 

A service for Jorje will be held on April 13th at 9:00 am for his friends and family to pay their respects.  The location is The Gabriel’s Funeral Chapel and Crematory 393 N Interstate Hwy 35 Georgetown TX 78628.  Burial will follow at Saint John’s Cemetery 2071 Westinghouse Rd. Georgetown Texas 78626.
