Joseph Driver Bacon III

Joe was a remarkable loving husband to Michele Waldman, an incredible father to Uvahna Bacon, Jennifer Bacon, Joanna Bacon, James Russell, daughter-in-law Hanna Cofer, Eric and Shena’ Anderson, and was a very proud Pappy to his granddaughter Madison Anderson. Joe was also a father figure to countless others.

He is survived by his siblings Kathy Bailey, Richard Seale, Marsha Fisher, Sherri Jensen, John Bacon, and by his chosen brothers, Mike Major and Richard Hausman.

Joe is proceeded in death by his mother Mildred Bacon, his father, and his eldest daughter Uvahna Bacon.

Joe Bacon was one of a kind with an enormous personality, an endless sense of humor, and advise for anyone who asked for it (and some that didn’t). He was a loyal friend and had a remarkable mind filled with countless emotions

Joe had an appreciation for music from Sinatra, Lyle Lovett, Diana Krall, Willie Nelson to The Fray. He loved Louann platters and coconut cream pie. He loved to travel and was a consummate creative, teaching himself piano and bass guitar and expressed himself through watercolors, acrylics, and storytelling.

We will carry him within all of us forever.                                                                                                                             

We will have a celebration of life for Joe Bacon on Friday July 16th, 2021 at "The Peached Social House" on 6500 North Lamar Blvd. Austin, Texas 78752 at 12pm-3pm. If you are able, please consider making a donation to Austin Hospices Christopher House in honor of Joe.
