In loving memory of Joe, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather, uncle, and godfather. Born in Abernathy Texas, to Carlos and Aurelia Navarro Rangel, he served in our armed forces first as a National Guardsman then as a Paratrooper in the Army, before returning home and marrying his beautiful wife Alma. They shared 63 years of marriage together, raising 5 kids, and welcoming along numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Joe was known for his wonderful smile, sunny disposition, and great sense of humor. He was a devout man who was strong in his faith, and lived his life showing us what it means to love thy neighbor. He earned his associates degree from South Plains College and was a wonderful handyman, assisting in the construction of each of his family homes. He loved to share stories of his life growing up, his time in the military, and would make a joke out of things wherever he could. He enjoyed going to the casino where he would always make bank at the penny slots, and was constantly surrounded by the family he loved. His greatest goal in life was to make it to 100 and by God he almost made it. May he Rest in Peace.
