Funeral services for Mildred Powers, 83 of Georgetown, will be held 10:00AM, Friday, October 30, 2015, at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel in Georgetown. Burial will follow at Capital Parks Cemetery in Pflugerville. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM, Thursday, October 29, 2015 at the funeral home. Mildred was born March 20, 1932, the daughter of Robert Lee Nunn, Sr. and Bessie (Foster) Nunn. She married her husband, Jack Powers, May 9, 1951, in Georgetown. She was a member of First Baptist Georgetown. Mildred loved to work with stained glass and worked at the Georgetown Candle Company where she thoroughly enjoyed making candles and was always bringing some home. She was preceded in death by her parents and seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Jack Powers of Georgetown; a son, Ramon Powers and wife Brenda of Georgetown; daughter, Sharon Powers of Hutto; one brother, Robert Lee Nunn, Jr. of Arkansas; five grandchildren, Brandy Jones, Brittany Mizner, Bradley Powers, Kristin Ward, Travis Powers; and 8 great grandchildren.
