Robert "Bob" David Wooten

Robert (Bob) Wooten, 69 , of Georgetown, Texas formerly of Charlotte, N.C. passed away on May 23, 2008 in Austin, Texas. Bob was born on December 9, 1938 in Gastonia, N.C. to Homer and Safrona Thomas Wooten. On July 23, 1964 he married Sheila (Bertha Mae) Haluzan in Austin, Texas. Bob is survived by his wife Sheila of Georgetown, a daughter, Sabrina Cervantez and husband, Joe of Leander, Tx, daughter, Chrissy Creech of Georgetown, Tx and a son, Rob Wooten and wife Kathy of Georgetown, Tx. He also leaves behind his grandchildren, Aaron Munday, Cassie and Chelsea Creech, Meagan and Ryan Zavala and Kayla, Brenna and Robert David Wooten III, his brother, Woodrow Wooten and wife Suzie of Ocean Isle, N.C. and his sister Mable Manning and husband, Randy of Gastonia, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents. Bob was a United States Army Veteran serving from 1961-1963. He attended Charlotte Business College. He was a salesman in his professional life and retired from Dell Computer Corporation in 2007.. He loved to play guitar and sing and enjoyed fishing, playing golf and serving other peoples needs. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Georgetown. Visitation was held on Monday May 26, 2008 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel. The Memorial Service will be held on Thursday May 29, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church of Georgetown. Memorials in his name may be made to Hospice Austin’s Christopher House or to the First Presbyterian Church of Georgetown.
