

She is preceded in death by her parents, Session and Pearl Guthrie; husband, Milton Harrell Sr.; children Milton Harrell Jr. and Debbie Harrell; granddaughter, Raven Ellis; siblings, Fay Hubbard, Teddie Whitehead, T.F. Guthrie, and Linwood Guthrie; brothers-in-law, Jimmie Georg and John Whitehead; sister-in-law Donna Guthrie.
Sue is survived by her children, Mike Harrell and Sherry Ellis (Bill); daughter-in-law Lyndel Harrell; grandchildren, Session Harrell (Amber), Kati Harrell, Mika Harrell, Yancy Conlee (Casey), Brandon Harrell (Amber), Jessica Kovarna (Trapper) and Shellie Sue Harrell; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Elizabeth, Braxton, Casen, Brinley, Luke, Jax, Jaylen, Maximus and Alexandria; sister, Martha Georg and sister-in-law, Belva Guthrie; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Sue attended Florence High School and married Milton Harrell Sr. shortly after, for whom she was married to until his death in 1996.
She was a woman of many talents and wearer of many hats. Sue was known for her baking, sewing, quilting, and painting and she enjoyed sharing those talents with her family and friends. She was a homemaker, secretary, convenience store owner, florist, wife, mother, second mom to Casey Georg, grandmother, and friend.
Sue never met a stranger and had a way of making each and every person in her life feel important and one of a kind. She had a light about her that lit up the room and made you feel like you were at home.
Sue was an active member of Florence First Baptist Church where she served many years in the kitchen. She baked many cookies and pies to help fundraise and shared her love for the Lord to everyone who came into the fellowship hall.
A celebration of life for Sue will be held July 8, 2023 at the First Baptist Church of Florence at 10:30 a.m. The family asks that you wear a shade of purple in her honor.
