Terry E. Stanford

Terry E. Stanford, 68, of Georgetown, entered into rest Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, February 17, 2011 at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel & Crematory in Georgetown. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 18, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Berry Creek Cemetery. Honoring Terry’s memory as pallbearers will be: Rex Kakazu, Scott Wilson, Tom Boulmay, Vernon Bell, William Lang, and Curtis Gibbs. Terry was born December 5, 1942 to Wilson and Imogene (Ray) Stanford in Liberty Hill. He attended and graduated from Liberty Hill High School. On September 18, 1964 Terry married the love of his life, Geraldine Jenkins in Liberty Hill and the family eventually moved to Georgetown. Terry worked as a boiler mechanic at Southwestern University. Terry and Geraldine are members of the First Baptist Church of Weir. Terry leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Geraldine of Georgetown; mother, Imogene of Liberty Hill; daughters, Melissa and husband Scott Wilson of Jarrell, Melanie and husband Rex Kakazu of Georgetown; grandchildren, Jessica Diaz of Jarrell and Lil Rex Kakazu of Georgetown; great grandchildren, Eric and Aaliyah Diaz of Round Rock; brother, Kenneth and wife Karen of Port Bolivar.
