Born in the Philippines on June 9, 1938, she came to the United States in late December 1962. She was known by many names: Ate, Boudi, Mom, Tita, Dida, Mama Guha, Grandma, Lola, Didi, Mashi, Auntie. Anyone who knew or met her was always welcomed by her generous spirit, her warm hospitality, her delicious cooking, and her infectious smile.
She is celebrated and grieved by her two daughters Monisha (Randy) and Sharmila (Pace); grandchildren Lluvia (Dallin), Hōkūlani, Shovarani, Makani, Pōhaku, and Vinaya; great grandchild `Āinakili; sisters Alicia and Nilda; extended relatives and in-laws across the globe; and many close and long-time friends.
