Damian Bernal was born on October 18, 1967 and passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025 at the age of 57. Damian was raised in Guadalajara, Jalisco and grew into a man deeply devoted to his family. He was a good husband and a truly great father to his two children, Janelle and Damian Jr.
Family was at the heart of everything Damian did. He cherished his mother, Martha and shared a close bond with his siblings Griselda, Paula, Emeli and Edgar. He was also a beloved uncle to his nieces and nephews.
From a young age, Damian was hard working and determined, building a life filled with the things he loved. His favorite hobbies were playing racquetball at the gym and listening to music, very loud music. He loved getting together to BBQ he was always the one planning our gatherings. It was always a good time, laughing, good food and he left us with so many great memories.
Damian was a lifelong sports fan. His teams were the Raiders, Dodgers, Lakers, and Chivas. Win or lose, he stood by them. Whether he was watching a game with friends and family or talking about them, his love for sports brought him happiness and kept him connected to the people he loved.
Damian was the kind of friend everyone hoped to have. He was loyal, genuine and full of life. His vibrant energy, unforgettable jokes and great sense of humor left a lasting impression on everyone he met. To know Damian was to love him.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for the joy and light he brought into all of our lives.
We’d love for anyone attending the services to wear light blue or any shade of blue in his honor, as it was his favorite color. It’s not required just a small way to celebrate his memory if you’d like to.
