

Dolores Medina Muñiz was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Dolores will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
She was the daughter of Maria Guadalupe Muniz Meridoza & Jose Guadalupe Medina Magallanes. Dolores grew up in Mexicali, Mexico and Durango, Durango and Santa Maria, Zacatecas.
Dolores was raised with six siblings. She had two younger brothers, Angel and Francisco, one older sister Socorro and three younger sisters, Catalina, Elvia and Maria. Dolores was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Dolores had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. In her spare time she liked to collect flowers and play in the countryside. Dolores' memorable achievements included getting math certificates. However, to Dolores, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Dolores enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. While growing up, some of her best friends were Odulia, Luz and Bertha. Later in life, she became friends with Bertha.
Dolores worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Dolores was blessed with five children, two daughters, Maria and Laura, three sons, Guadalupe, Raul and Jose. Another blessing for Dolores was the gift of seven grandchildren, Haydee, Celeste, Scarlett, Layla, Gavin, Noah and Zoe.
Dolores enjoyed her leisure time by taking part in various hobbies. Her favorite pursuits were being a soccer mom, dancing and listening to music, as a young adult she was a catechist. She was content to enjoy her favorite pastimes alone but was also willing to share her interests with others.
Dolores found pleasure in sports. Dolores was also something of a sports fan and enjoyed following her favorite events whenever she had the chance to do so. Tops on her list were sports.
Dolores was a woman who took pride in upholding her beliefs. Politically, Dolores was a supporter of the Democrat party.
Dolores enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included going to Mexico.
Dolores was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Lady, a Chow Chow. Her family was rounded out by her Husky.
Dolores passed away on 20 de noviembre de 2019 at her home in Baldwin Park, California. She is survived by her five children, Maria, Guadalupe, Raul, Jose and Laura; her seven grandchildren, Haydee, Celeste, Scarlett, Layla, Gavin, Noah, Zoe; her partner Jesus; her six siblings Socorro, Angel, Catalina, Elvia, Francisco, Many, and her Mother Guadalupe. Services were held at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Dolores was laid to rest in Oakdale Memorial Park in Glendora, California.
Simply stated, Dolores was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Dolores leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Dolores Medina Muñiz.
