

A visitation for Jimmy will be held Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Oakdale Mortuary, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. A funeral mass will occur Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM at ST. FRANCES OF ROME, 501 E. Foothill Blvd., Azusa, CA 91702. A burial service will occur Wednesday, May 24, 2023 from 11:15 AM to 11:45 AM at Oakdale Memorial Park, 1401 South Grand Ave, Glendora, CA 91740. After the burial, the family will be celebrating the Life of Jimmy Jimenez.
He will be greatly missed.

Jimmy Jimenez, beloved son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend, passed away on April 9, 2023, at the age of 82. He was born on January 3, 1941, in Plaquemine, Louisiana, to parents Julio and Micaela Jimenez.
Growing up, Jimmy lived in train box cars before his family settled in Eastland, Texas. He worked as a truck driver before meeting Irene, the love of his life, at a party in Azusa in 1958. Then they were married two years later on, July 2, 1960, and spent 62 wonderful years together, raising a family and building a life filled with love and patience. He was a grouchy man at times but had a loving heart.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Julio and Micaela Jimenez, and his sisters, Ramona, Cecelia, Frances, Abilene "Coca," and Marie "Mary." He was also preceded in death by his sons, Jimmy Jimenez and Johnny Jimenez.
He is survived by his wife, Irene Jimenez, his sisters, Rosie Ochoa, Maggie Jimenez, Jessie Jimenez, his brothers, Julio Jimenez (Gilma), Everisto Jimenez, Felipe Jimenez, Alex Jimenez (Mary Ellen), Johnny Jimenez, his children, Corina Jimenez, James Jimenez (Joanne), and daughter-in-law Lisa Jimenez, his 10 grandchildren, Roseanne, Jessica (Josh), Alicia (Chepe), Anthony, James, Manuel, Solinda, Annessa, Alexis, Johnny Jr., and 11 great-grandchildren: Raymond, Audrey, Alexa, Olivia, Peter, Brooklyn, Yvonne, Alex, Aaron, Elijah, Anthony Jr. and one on the way in June 2023, as well as many nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Jimmy worked hard to provide for his family and made many sacrifices along the way. He was also active in his community, coaching the Azusa American Little League team, the Indians. He was also a dedicated member of his church St. Frances of Rome, Helping Hand of Azusa community club, and served over 30 years to the citizens of Azusa
Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His kindness, generosity, and sense of humor will be remembered and cherished forever.
